The Energy Act 2016 (Commencement No. 4 and Transitory Provision) Regulations 2017

The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 84(3) and 84(4) of the Energy Act 2016( 1 ).

Citation

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Energy Act 2016 (Commencement No. 4 and Transitory Provision) Regulations 2017.

Provisions coming into force on 21st October 2017

2. Sections 30 to 36 of the Energy Act 2016, so far as they are not already in force, come into force on 21st October 2017.

Transitory provision

3. Notwithstanding the commencement of section 31(8) of the Energy Act 2016, the requirement imposed by section 31(2)(a) of that Act is not sanctionable in accordance with Chapter 5 of Part 2 of that Act before 12th November 2017.
