The Lord Chancellor makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 9 of Schedule 7 to the Coroners and Justice Act 2009( 1 ).

The Lord Chief Justice agrees to the making of these Regulations pursuant to paragraph 11(2) of Schedule 7 to that Act.

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Coroners Allowances, Fees and Expenses (Amendment) Regulations 2018 and come into force on 1st December 2018.

Amendment to the Coroners Allowances, Fees and Expenses Regulations 2013

2. In regulation 17(1) (indemnity) of the Coroners Allowances, Fees and Expenses Regulations 2013( 2 ), for sub-paragraph (c), substituteβ€”

β€œ (c) damages awarded against the coroner, or costs ordered to be paid by the coroner, in such proceedings; ” .
