The Immigration (Guidance on Detention of Vulnerable Persons) Regulations 2018

The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 59(5) and (6) of the Immigration Act 2016( 1 ).
In accordance with section 59(4) of that Act, a draft of the guidance to be brought into force in accordance with these Regulations has been laid before Parliament.
Citation and commencement
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Immigration (Guidance on Detention of Vulnerable Persons) Regulations 2018 and come into force on 2nd July 2018.
Guidance
2. The guidance entitled “Immigration Act 2016: Revised Guidance on adults at risk in immigration detention”, a draft of which was laid before Parliament on 21st March 2018 by the Secretary of State under section 59(4) of the Immigration Act 2016 , comes into force on 2nd July 2018.
