The Policing and Crime Act 2017 (Commencement No. 8) Regulations 2018

The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 183(1) and (7) of the Policing and Crime Act 2017( 1 ).

Citation and interpretation

1. —(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Policing and Crime Act 2017 (Commencement No. 8) Regulations 2018.

(2) In these Regulations “the Act” means the Policing and Crime Act 2017.

Provision coming into force on 6th April 2018

2. The day appointed for the coming into force of section 141 of the Act (cumulative impact assessments) is 6th April 2018.

Provisions coming into force on 16th April 2018

3. The day appointed for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Act is 16th April 2018—

(a) section 25 (power to make super-complaints);

(b) section 26 (bodies who may make super-complaints) insofar as not already in force( 2 ), and

(c) section 27 (regulations about super-complaints) insofar as not already in force( 3 ).

Provision coming into force on 17th April 2018

4. The day appointed for the coming into force of section 131 of the Act (limited extension of firearm certificates etc ) is 17th April 2018.
