The Children and Social Work Act 2017 (Commencement No. 5) Regulations 2018

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 70(2) of the Children and Social Work Act 2017( 1 ), makes the following Regulations:

Citation and interpretation

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Children and Social Work Act 2017 (Commencement No. 5) Regulations 2018.

2. “The Act” means the Children and Social Work Act 2017 .

Provisions coming into force on 1st September 2018

3. To the extent that they are not already in force, the following provisions of the Act come into force on 1st September 2018—

(a) section 36 (Social Work England); and

(b) Schedule 3 (Social Work England).
