The Victims and Witnesses (Scotland) Act 2014 (Consequential Modification) Order 2019

Coming into force in accordance with article 1(1)
The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 104, 112(1) and 113(5) of the Scotland Act 1998( 1 ).
In accordance with paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 of Schedule 7 to that Act, a draft of this Order has been laid before and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.
Citation, commencement and extent
1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Victims and Witnesses (Scotland) Act 2014 (Consequential Modification) Order 2019 and comes into force on the day after the day on which it is made.
(2) This Order extends to England and Wales and Scotland.
Amendment of the Criminal Justice Act 1991
2. In section 24(3A) of the Criminal Justice Act 1991 (recovery of a surcharge by deduction from certain benefits)( 2 ), after “Criminal Justice Act 2003” insert “or section 253F of the Criminal Procedure (Scotland) Act 1995( 3 )”.
