M1 The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the power conferred by section 123(4)(a) of the Education Act 2002 .

Citation, commencement and application I1

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the School Teachers' Incentive Payments (England) Order 2019 and comes into force on 1st September 2019.

(2) This Order applies only in relation to school teachers in England.

Incentive payments to school teachers I2

2. —(1) A lump sum payment made by the Secretary of State to a school teacher under one of the schemes mentioned in paragraph (2) is not to be treated as remuneration for the purpose of section 122(1) of the Education Act 2002.

(2) The schemes are—

[F1 (a) the Early-Career Payments Pilot, F1]

(b) F2 the Mathematics and Physics Teacher Retention Payments Pilot, ...

(c) F3 the Teachers' Student Loan Reimbursement Pilot, ...

(d) the [F4 Targeted Retention Incentive F4] , [F5 and

(e) the International Relocation Payment, F5]

each administered by the Department for Education.

M2 3. The School Teachers' Incentive Payments (England) Order 2018 is revoked.
