Under Article 41 of the Charter of the United Nations, the Security Council of the United Nations has, by resolution adopted on 14th November 2018, lifted the measures adopted in respect of Eritrea:
Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred on Her by section 1 of the United Nations Act 1946( 1 ), section 112 of the Saint Helena Act 1833( 2 ), the British Settlements Acts 1887 and 1945( 3 ), and all of the other powers enabling Her to do so, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order as follows:
Citation, commencement and extent
1. β(1) This Order may be cited as the Eritrea (Sanctions) (Overseas Territories) (Revocation) Order 2019 and comes into force on 13th March 2019.
(2) This Order extends to the territories in the Schedule.
Revocation
2.The Eritrea (Sanctions) (Overseas Territories) Order 2012( 4 ) is revoked.
