The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred on Her by section 1 of the United Nations Act 1946( 1 ), section 112 of the Saint Helena Act 1833( 2 ), the British Settlements Acts 1887 and 1945( 3 ), and all of the other powers enabling Her to do so, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order as follows:

Citation, commencement and extent

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Sanctions (Overseas Territories) (Amendment) Order 2019 and comes into force on 13th March 2019.

(2) This Order extends to the territories listed in Parts 1 and 2 of the Schedule, except for article 2 which extends to the territories listed in Part 1 of the Schedule.

Lebanon and Syria (United Nations Measures) (Overseas Territories) Order 2006

2. In Schedule 1 of the Lebanon and Syria (United Nations Measures) (Overseas Territories) Order 2006( 4 ), omit “Bermuda”.

Lebanon (United Nations Sanctions) (Overseas Territories) Order 2007

3. In Schedule 1 of the Lebanon (United Nations Sanctions) (Overseas Territories) Order 2007( 5 ), omit “Bermuda”.

Libya (Restrictive Measures) (Overseas Territories) Order 2011

4. —(1)The Libya (Restrictive Measures) (Overseas Territories) Order 2011( 6 ) is amended as follows.

(2) In paragraph (5) of article 30, after “In this article “relevant person””, insert “, in respect of a relevant institution,”.

(3) In Schedule 1, omit “Bermuda”.

Sanctions (Overseas Territories) (Amendment of Information Provisions) Order 2018

5. In article 8 of the Sanctions (Overseas Territories) (Amendment of Information Provisions) Order 2018( 7 ), paragraph (3) is omitted.
