The Minister for the Civil Service makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of, and paragraph 9 of Schedule 3 to, the Public Service Pensions Act 2013( 1 ) (“the 2013 Act”).
In accordance with section 22(2)(a) of the 2013 Act, the Minister has consulted representatives of such persons as appear to him likely to be affected by these Regulations with a view to reaching agreement.
In accordance with section 22(2)(b) of the 2013 Act, the Minister has laid a report before Parliament.
In accordance with section 3(5) of that Act, these Regulations are made with the consent of the Treasury.
Citation and commencement
1. —(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Public Service (Civil Servants and Others) Pensions (Amendment) Regulations 2019.
(2) These Regulations come into force on 1st April 2019.
Amendment to the Public Service (Civil Servants and Others) Pensions Regulations 2014
2. —(1)The Public Service (Civil Servants and Others) Pensions Regulations 2014( 2 ) are amended in accordance with paragraph (2).
(2) In the heading above the final table in regulation 134 (rate of member contributions), after “31st March 2019” insert “and Scheme Year 1st April 2019 to 31st March 2020”.
