Coming into force in accordance with article 1(2)
Citation, commencement and interpretation
1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the European Parliamentary Elections (Returning Officer’s Charges) (Northern Ireland) Order 2019.
(2) This Order comes into force on the day after the day on which it is made.
(3) In this Order, “the 2004 Regulations” means the European Parliamentary Elections (Northern Ireland) Regulations 2004.
Overall maximum recoverable amount
2. For the purposes of regulation 16(1) of the 2004 Regulations, the amount specified as the overall maximum recoverable amount is—
(a) at a contested European Parliamentary election, £2,850,000; and
(b) at an uncontested European Parliamentary election, within the meaning of rule 17(2) of Schedule 1 to the 2004 Regulations (the European Parliamentary elections rules), £1,750.
Revocation
3.The European Parliamentary Elections (Returning Officer’s Charges) (Northern Ireland) Order 2014( 3 ) is revoked.
