The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the power conferred by section 84(3)(g) of the Policing and Crime Act 2017( 1 ):

Citation and commencement

1. —(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Maritime Enforcement Powers (Specification of the Royal Navy Police) Regulations 2020.

(2) These Regulations come into force on 7th January 2021.

Specification of Royal Navy Police

2. A member of the Royal Navy Police is a person of a specified description for the purposes of section 84(3)(g) of the Policing and Crime Act 2017(application of maritime enforcement powers: England and Wales).
