The Extradition (Provisional Arrest) Act 2020 (Commencement No. 1) Regulations 2020

The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the power conferred by section 2(4) and (5) of the Extradition (Provisional Arrest) Act 2020( 1 ).

Citation

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Extradition (Provisional Arrest) Act 2020 (Commencement No. 1) Regulations 2020.

Commencement

2. —(1) The following provisions of the Extradition (Provisional Arrest) Act 2020 come into force on IP completion day( 2 )—

(a) section 1 (power of arrest for extradition purposes);

(b) the Schedule (power of arrest for extradition purposes) except for paragraph 4.

(2) So far as it applies to Norway and Iceland, paragraph 4 of the Schedule to that Act comes into force immediately after IP completion day.
