The Employment and Support Allowance and Universal Credit (Coronavirus Disease) (Amendment) Regulations 2021

The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of powers conferred by sections 10(3) and (6), 79(1) and (4) and 84 of the Social Security Act 1998( 1 ) and sections 24(1) and 25(2), (3) and (5) of, and paragraphs 1(a) and 2 of Schedule 2 to, the Welfare Reform Act 2007( 2 ).
In accordance with section 173(1)(b) of the Social Security Administration Act 1992( 3 ), the Social Security Advisory Committee has agreed that the proposals in respect of these Regulations should not be referred to it.
Citation, commencement and extent
(2) Any amendment made by these Regulations has the same extent as the provision amended.
Amendment of the Employment and Support Allowance and Universal Credit (Coronavirus Disease) Regulations 2020
“ (2) These Regulations cease to have effect on 24th March 2022. ” .
