The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 41(1) of the High Speed Rail (West Midlands – Crewe) Act 2021( 1 ):

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the High Speed Rail (West Midlands – Crewe) (Nomination) Regulations 2021 and come into force on 12th February 2021.

Appointment of nominated undertaker

2. High Speed Two (HS2) Ltd is the nominated undertaker for—

(a) all purposes of the scheduled works; and

(b) the purposes of any other provision of the High Speed Rail (West Midlands – Crewe) Act 2021 so far as connected with or in any way related to those works or otherwise for Phase 2a purposes.
