The Street Works (Charges for Occupation of the Highway) (Surrey County Council) Order 2021

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 74A(2) of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991( 1 ), makes the following Order.

Citation, commencement and extent

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Street Works (Charges for Occupation of the Highway) (Surrey County Council) Order 2021.

(2) This Order extends to England and Wales.

(3) This Order shall come into force on 1st April 2021.

Approval of local highway authority

2. The Secretary of State approves Surrey County Council for the purpose of requiring charges to be paid under the Street Works (Charges for Occupation of the Highway) (England) Regulations 2012( 2 ) in accordance with the Surrey Lane Rental Scheme which was submitted to the Secretary of State on 10th December 2020 and approved by him.
