The Secretary of State makes this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 24(1) and (2)(a), (b) and (c) of the Merchant Shipping and Maritime Security Act 1997( 1 ).

Citation, commencement and extent

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Protection of Wrecks (RMS Titanic) (Amendment) Order 2021.

(2) This Order comes into force on 11th May 2021.

(3) This Order extends to England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Amendment

2. In article 4(2)(b) of the Protection of Wrecks (RMS Titanic) Order 2003( 2 ) omit “(other than activities relating to the conservation or curation of artifacts)”.
