The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 27(2) of the Counter-Terrorism and Border Security Act 2019( 1 ).

Citation

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Counter-Terrorism and Border Security Act 2019 (Commencement No. 1) (Northern Ireland) Regulations 2021.

Commencement

2. The following provisions of the Counter-Terrorism and Border Security Act 2019 come into force on 1st June 2021—

(a) section 22, so far as relating to the provisions brought into force by paragraph (b);

(b) paragraphs 44 and 45 of Schedule 3 (border security) in relation to Northern Ireland.
