The Police and Crime Commissioner Elections (Designations etc.) (Amendment) Order 2022

The Secretary of State makes this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 54(1)(b), 55(1) and (2), 75(1) and 154(5)(c) of the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011( 1 ).

In accordance with section 55(1) of that Act, the Treasury has consented to the making of this Order insofar as it is made under that section.

In accordance with section 7(1) and (2)(ha) of the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000( 2 ), the Secretary of State has consulted the Electoral Commission before making this Order insofar as it is made under section 54(1)(b) of the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011.
