The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 8(1) of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018( 1 ).

The requirements of paragraph 3(2) of Schedule 7 to that Act (relating to the appropriate Parliamentary procedure for these regulations) have been satisfied.

Citation, commencement, extent and application

1. These Regulations may be cited as the EU Agencies (Revocations) Regulations 2022 and come into force on the twenty first day after the day on which they are laid.

2. These Regulations extend and apply to England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Revocation of Regulation (EC) No 1339/2008

3. Regulation (EC) No 1339/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 December 2008 establishing a European Training Foundation is revoked.

Revocation of Regulation (EU) No 2019/128

4. Regulation (EU) 2019/128 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 January 2019 establishing a European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (Cedefop) and repealing is revoked. Council Regulation (EEC) No 337/75
