The Agriculture Act 2020 (Commencement No. 2) (England) Regulations 2022

The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 57(2) of the Agriculture Act 2020( 1 ).

Citation, extent and application

1. —(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Agriculture Act 2020 (Commencement No. 2) (England) Regulations 2022.

(2) These Regulations extend to England and Wales and apply in relation to England only.

Commencement of the Agriculture Act 2020

2. The following provisions of the Agriculture Act 2020 come into force on 30th November 2022—

(a) Part 1 of Schedule 7 (exceptional market conditions: England);

(b) Part 3 of Schedule 7 (marketing standards and carcass classification: England), except paragraph 11 of Schedule 7 so far as it relates to Article 88(1) of Regulation (EU) No 1308/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing a common organisation of the markets in agricultural products( 2 ); and

(c) section 52 (consequential amendments), so far as it relates to the provisions brought into force by paragraphs (a) and (b) of this regulation.
