This Order is made in exercise of the powers conferred by section 1(2) of the International Organisations Act 1968( 1 ) (“ the Act ”).
A draft of this Order has been approved by resolution of each House of Parliament pursuant to section 10(1) of the Act.
Accordingly, Her Majesty is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order as follows—
Citation, commencement and extent
(2) This Order extends to England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Legal capacities
3. The Organisation has the legal capacities of a body corporate.

1968 c.48 ; section 1(1) was amended by section 1 of the International Organisations Act 1981 (c. 9) ; there are other amendments not relevant to this Order.
The Convention was adopted at a conference at Kuala Lumpur on 28 th February 2020 and is also referred to as the Kuala Lumpur Convention.
