The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the power in section 14Z25(9) of the National Health Service Act 2006( 1 ).

Citation, commencement and extent

1. —(1) These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Service (Areas of Integrated Care Boards: Appointed Day) Regulations 2022.

(2) These Regulations come into force on 1st July 2022.

(3) These Regulations extend to England and Wales.

Appointed day

2. The day appointed under section 14Z25(9) (integrated care boards) of the National Health Service Act 2006 is 1st July 2022.

2006 c. 41 . Section 14Z25 was inserted by section 19 of the Health and Care Act 2022 (c. 31) . “Regulations” is defined in section 275 of the National Health Service Act 2006 (“ the 2006 Act ”). By virtue of section 271(1) of the 2006 Act, the power exercised in making these Regulations is exercisable by the Secretary of State only in relation to England.
