The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 27(2) of the Birmingham Commonwealth Games Act 2020( 1 ), makes the following Regulations.
In accordance with section 27(3) of that Act, the Secretary of State has obtained the consent of the local traffic authorities specified in the Schedule to these Regulations.
Citation, commencement and extent
1. —(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Birmingham Commonwealth Games (Concurrent Exercise of Traffic Management Powers) Regulations 2022 and come into force on 21st February 2022.
(2) These Regulations extend to England and Wales.
Specified local traffic authorities
2. The local traffic authorities listed in the Schedule are specified for the purpose of section 27(2) of the Birmingham Commonwealth Games Act 2020.
