The Telecommunications (Security) Act 2021 (Commencement) Regulations 2022

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 28(2) of the Telecommunications Security Act 2021( 1 ), makes the following Regulations.

Citation and interpretation

1. —(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Telecommunications (Security) Act 2021 (Commencement) Regulations 2022.

(2) In these Regulations “ the Act ” means the Telecommunications (Security) Act 2021 .

Provisions coming into force on 1 October 2022

2. The following provisions of the Act, so far as not already in force by virtue of section 28(1) of the Act, come into force on 1 October 2022–

(a) Sections 1 to 3 (so far as not already in force by virtue of section 28(1) of the Act);

(b) Sections 4 to 13;

(c) Section 24 (so far as not already in force by virtue of section 28(1) of the Act); and

(d) Section 25(2).
