The King’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council

His Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 16(3) of the Sovereign Grant Act 2011( 1 ), is pleased, by and with the advice of His Privy Council, to order as follows:

Citation and commencement

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Sovereign Grant Act 2011 (Duration of Sovereign Grant Provisions) Order 2022.

(2) This Order comes into force on the day after the day on which it is made.

Duration of Sovereign Grant provisions

2. Instead of expiring in accordance with section 16(1) of the Sovereign Grant Act 2011, the Sovereign Grant provisions( 2 ) expire 6 months after the end of the present reign.

The term “Sovereign Grant provisions” is defined in section 16(2) of the Sovereign Grant Act 2011. Those provisions are sections 1 to 9, 11 and 12 of that Act.
