The Treasury make this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 10(1) of the Government Resources and Accounts Act 2000( 1 ).

In accordance with section 10(7) of that Act the Treasury have consulted the Welsh Ministers where they have thought it appropriate.

Citation, commencement and extent

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Whole of Government Accounts (Designation of Bodies) Order 2023 and comes into force on 17th October 2023.

(2) This Order extends to England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Designation

2. The bodies listed in the Schedule to this Order are designated in respect of the financial year ending with 31st March 2023 for the purposes of section 10 of the Government Resources and Accounts Act 2000 (obtaining information).
