The Nationality and Borders Act 2022 (Commencement No. 6) Regulations 2023

The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the power conferred by section 87(1) of the Nationality and Borders Act 2022( 1 ).

Citation, interpretation and extent

1. —(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Nationality and Borders Act 2022 (Commencement No. 6) Regulations 2023.

(2) These Regulations extend to England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Provisions coming into force on 10th May 2023

2. The following provisions of the Nationality and Borders Act 2022 come into force on 10th May 2023—

(a) section 10 (notice of decision to deprive a person of citizenship), so far as not already in force;

(b) Schedule 2 (deprivation of citizenship without notice: judicial oversight).
