The Secretary of State makes this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 120(1) and 134(1) of the Building Act 1984( 1 ).

Citation

1. This Order may be cited as the Building Act 1984 (Commencement No. 3) (England) Order 2023.

Provision coming into force on 1st October 2023

2.Section 33 of the Building Act 1984 (tests for conformity with building regulations) comes into force on 1st October 2023.

1984 c. 55 . Section 33 is amended by paragraph 30 of Schedule 5 to the Building Safety Act 2022 (c. 30) , and section 120 is amended by paragraph 76 of that Schedule. Section 134 is amended by paragraph 82 of that Schedule.
