The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 124(3) of the Leasehold and Freehold Reform Act 2024( 1 ).

Citation

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Leasehold and Freehold Reform Act 2024 (Commencement No. 1) Regulations 2024.

Provisions coming into force on 31st October 2024

2. The following provisions of the Leasehold and Freehold Reform Act 2024 come into force on 31st October 2024—

(a) section 114 (steps relating to remediation of defects);

(b) section 115 (remediation orders);

(c) section 116 (remediation contribution orders);

(d) section 120 (interpretation of references to other Acts) in relation to the definition of the Building Safety Act 2022( 2 ).
