The Communications Act 2003 (Disclosure of Information) Order 2024

The Secretary of State makes this Order in exercise of the power conferred by section 393(4)(c) of the Communications Act 2003( 1 ).

In accordance with section 393(11) of that Act, a draft of this Order has been laid before Parliament and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.

Citation, commencement and extent

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Communications Act 2003 (Disclosure of Information) Order 2024.

(2) This Order comes into force on the day after the day on which it is made.

(3) This Order extends to England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Specification of relevant functions

2. Any function conferred by or under the Online Safety Act 2023( 2 ) is a relevant function for the purposes of section 393(4) of the Communications Act 2003.
