EMPLOYMENT TRIBUNALS

The Judicial Review and Courts Act 2022 (Commencement No. 6) Regulations 2024

The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 51(4) and (5) of the Judicial Review and Courts Act 2022( 1 ), makes the following Regulations.

Citation, interpretation and extent

1. —(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Judicial Review and Courts Act 2022 (Commencement No. 6) Regulations 2024.

(2) In these Regulations, “ the Act ” means the Judicial Review and Courts Act 2022 .

(3) These Regulations extend to England and Wales and Scotland, subject to paragraph (4).

(4) This regulation and regulation (2)(b)(viii) extend to England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Commencement

2. The following provisions of the Act come into force on the day after the day on which these Regulations are made—

(a) section 34(1), (2), (4) and (5) (employment tribunal procedure rules); and

(b) in Schedule 5 (employment tribunal procedure rules: further provision)

(i) paragraph 1;

(ii) paragraphs 4 to 12;

(iii) paragraphs 14 to 17;

(iv) paragraph 23;

(v) paragraph 24;

(vi) paragraph 26;

(vii) paragraph 27;

(viii) paragraph 28.
