The Armed Forces (Civilians Subject to Service Discipline) (Amendment) Order 2024

The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 370 of, and paragraphs 6(2)(b) and 12(1)(b) of Schedule 15 to, the Armed Forces Act 2006( 1 ).

Citation, commencement and extent

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Armed Forces (Civilians Subject to Service Discipline) (Amendment) Order 2024.

(2) This Order comes into force on 3rd June 2024.

(3) This Order extends to England and Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the British overseas territories (except Gibraltar).

Amendment of the Armed Forces (Civilians Subject to Service Discipline) Order 2009

2.The Armed Forces (Civilians Subject to Service Discipline) Order 2009( 2 ) is amended as follows.

Amendment to Schedule 2 (other specified organisations)

3. In Schedule 2 —

(a) omit “Service Children’s Education”;

(b) omit “the Services Sound and Vision Corporation”;

(c) before “the Navy, Army and Air Force Institutes” insert “BFBS” ;

(d) for “the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association-Forces Help” substitute “Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association” .

Amendment to Schedule 3 (designated areas)

4. In Schedule 3 —

(a) in paragraph 1, in the appropriate place insert—

(i) Estonia”;

(ii) the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal”;

(iii) the Kingdom of Bahrain”.

(b) in paragraph 2, in the appropriate place insert—

(i) Estonia”;

(ii) the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal”;

(iii) the Kingdom of Bahrain”.
