The Energy Act 2023 (Commencement No. 3) Regulations 2024

The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 334(1) of the Energy Act 2023( 1 ).

Citation

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Energy Act 2023 (Commencement No. 3) Regulations 2024.

Provisions coming into force on 1st October 2024

2. The day appointed for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Energy Act 2023 is 1st October 2024—

(a) subsection (2) of section 166 (amendment of section 4(1) of the Electricity Act 1989 to add prohibition on carrying out unlicensed activity);

(b) subsection (2) of section 168 (amendment of section 5 of the Gas Act 1986 to add prohibition on carrying out unlicensed activity);

(c) paragraphs 1, 2, 4 and 5 of Schedule 11 (minor and consequential amendments relating to Part 5).
