Present,

The King's Most Excellent Majesty in Council

His Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred on Him by section 1(1) of the Judicial Committee Amendment Act 1895( 1 ), is pleased, by and with the advice of His Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows—

1. This Order may be cited as the Judicial Committee (Cayman Islands) Order 2025 and comes into force on 6th February 2025.

2. The Grand Court of the Cayman Islands is named as a superior court for the purposes of the Judicial Committee Amendment Act 1895.

1895 c. 44 (58 & 59 Vict.). Section 1(1) was amended by the Statute Law (Repeals) Act (c. 12), Schedule 1, Part 1, Group 2 and by the Schedule to the Appellate Jurisdiction Act 1913 (c. 21) .
