The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section A1(3)(c), (4) and (5) of the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009(1).

Citation, commencement and extent

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Apprenticeships (Miscellaneous Provisions) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2025.

(2) These Regulations come into force on 1st August 2025.

(3) These Regulations extend to England and Wales.

Amendment to the Apprenticeships (Miscellaneous Provisions) Regulations 2017

2.—(1)The Apprenticeships (Miscellaneous Provisions) Regulations 2017(2) are amended as follows.

(2) In regulation 5 (duration of practical period), in paragraphs (1) and (2)(c), for “12” substitute “8”.

(3) In regulation 6 (alternative English apprenticeships), in paragraphs (7), (9)(d) and (11), for “12” substitute “8”.
