The Secretary of State makes this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 34(1), (2), and (4), and 60(2) of the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004(1).

In accordance with section 34(5) of that Act, the Secretary of State consulted those persons the Secretary of State considers appropriate.

Citation, commencement, extent and application

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Firefighters’ Pension Scheme (England) (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 2026 and comes into force on 31st March 2026.

(2) This Order extends to England and Wales, and applies in relation to England only.

Amendment of the Firefighters’ Pension Scheme (England) (Amendment) Order 2026

2. In article 1(2) of the Firefighters’ Pension Scheme (England) (Amendment) Order 2026(2) for “XXX” substitute “1st April 2026”.
