The Environment Act 2021 (Commencement No. 11) Regulations 2026

The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 147(3) of the Environment Act 2021(1).

Citation and interpretation

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Environment Act 2021 (Commencement No. 11) Regulations 2026.

(2) In these Regulations, “ the Act ” means the Environment Act 2021 .

Provisions coming into force on 7th May 2026

2. The following provisions of the Act come into force on 7th May 2026—

(a)section 99 (biodiversity gain in nationally significant infrastructure projects);

(b)Schedule 15 (biodiversity gain in nationally significant infrastructure projects).
