Citation, commencement and extent

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Whole of Government Accounts (Designation of Bodies) Order 2026 and comes into force on 19th February 2026.

(2) This Order extends to England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

2. The bodies listed in the Schedule (designated bodies for 2025-2026) to this Order are designated in respect of the financial year ending with 31st March 2026 for the purposes of section 10 (obtaining information) of the Government Resources and Accounts Act 2000.
