The Government of Wales Act 2006 (Increase of Capital Borrowing Limits) Order 2026

The Secretary of State, with the consent of the Treasury, makes this Order in exercise of the power conferred by section 122A(2) of the Government of Wales Act 2006(1).

A draft of this Order has been laid before and approved by resolution of the House of Commons in accordance with section 122A(4) of the Government of Wales Act 2006.

Citation, commencement and extent

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Government of Wales Act 2006 (Increase of Capital Borrowing Limits) Order 2026.

(2) It comes into force on the day after the day on which it is made.

(3) It extends to England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Amendment to the Government of Wales Act 2006

2. In section 122A(1) of the Government of Wales Act 2006 (lending for capital expenditure), for “£1,000 million” substitute “£1,100 million”.
