The Financial Assistance for Environmental Purposes (No. 2) Order 2000

The Secretary of State, in exercise of his powers under section 153(4) of the Environmental Protection Act 1990( 1 ), hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Financial Assistance for Environmental Purposes (No. 2) Order 2000 and shall come into force on 8th September 2000.

Variation of section 153(1) of the Environmental Protection Act 1990

2. In section 153(1) of the Environmental Protection Act 1990( 2 ) (purposes for which financial assistance may be given), after paragraph (ii) there shall be inserted—

(jj) the programme known as Pollution Emergency Response Services;

(kk) the programme known as the Waste and Resources Action Programme;

(ll) the Protocol on Energy Efficiency and Related Environmental Aspects to the Energy Charter Treaty; .
