The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 1(1)(a) and 17(2) of the Energy Act 1976( 1 ), there being in force an Order in Council( 2 ) under section 3 of that Act, and it appearing to him that the making of the Order is desirable for the purpose of conserving energy, hereby makes the following Order:—

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Liquid and Gaseous Fuel (Designated Filling Stations and Fuel Depots) (No. 3) Order 2000 and shall come into force at 5 p.m. on 14th September 2000.

(2) The Liquid and Gaseous Fuel (Designated Filling Stations and Fuel Depots) Order( 3 ) and the Liquid and Gaseous Fuel (Designated Filling Stations and Fuel Depots) (No. 2) Order ( 4 ) are hereby revoked.

2. For the purpose of the exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 1 and 2 of the Energy Act 1976 to make orders and give directions respectively the Secretary of State designates the filling stations and fuel depots mentioned in the list entitled “Department of Trade and Industry: Fourth List of Designated Filling Stations and Fuel Depots” published by him on 14th September 2000.
