The Homelessness Act 2002 (Commencement No. 1) (England) Order 2002

11th July 2002
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 20(1) of the Homelessness Act 2002( 1 ) hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and extent
1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Homelessness Act 2002 (Commencement No. 1) (England) Order 2002.
(2) This Order extends to England only.
Commencement
2. The following provisions of the Homelessness Act 2002 shall come into force on 31st July 2002—

sections 1 to 7,
-
sections 9 and 10,
-
section 18(1) in so far as it relates to paragraphs 8 to 12, 14(b) to (d), 15, 16, 17(b) and 18 to 21 of Schedule 1,
-
section 18(2) in so far as it relates to repeals in Schedule 2 in—
-
section 19.
3. Section 12 of the Homelessness Act 2002 shall come into force on 1st October 2002.

2002 c. 7 . The powers conferred by section 20(1) are exercisable as respects Wales by the National Assembly for Wales (see section 20(3) of the Homelessness Act 2002).
