The Secretary of State for Education and Skills, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 22(1) and (2), 42(6) and 43(1) of the Teaching and Higher Education Act 1998( 1 ), hereby makes the following Regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Education (Grants for Disabled Postgraduate Students) (Amendment) Regulations 2002 and shall come into force on 1st September 2002.

2. The Education (Grants for Disabled Postgraduate Students) Regulations 2000( 2 ) shall be amended in accordance with these Regulations.

3. In regulation 9(2) for “£5,120” substitute “5,245”.

4. These Regulations shall not have effect in relation to an academic year (as defined in regulation 2(6) of the Education (Grants for Disabled Postgraduate Students) Regulations 2000) which begins before 1st September 2002.
