The Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) (Amendment) Regulations 2004

The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 41(1), (2) and (5) of the Road Traffic Act 1988( 1 ), and after consultation with representative organisations in accordance with section 195(2) of that Act, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) (Amendment) Regulations 2004 and shall come into force on 1st August 2004.

Amendment of the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986

2. —(1) Schedule 7B to the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986( 2 ) shall be further amended as follows.

(2) In paragraph 7, for sub-paragraph (b) there shall be substituted the following sub-paragraph—

(b) “the emissions publication” is the publication entitled “In Service Exhaust Emission Standards for Road Vehicles – Tenth Edition” ( ISBN 0-9526457-9-3) published by the Department for Transport.
