The First Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 143(1) and (2) of, and paragraphs 4 and 6 of Schedule 8 to, the Local Government Finance Act 1988( 1 ) and all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Non-Domestic Rating Contributions (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2004 and shall come into force on 31st December 2004.

Amendment of the Non-Domestic Rating Contributions (England) Regulations 1992

2.The Non-Domestic Rating Contributions (England) Regulations 1992( 2 ) are amended as follows in relation to financial years beginning on or after 1st April 2005.

Interpretation

3. In regulation 2(2)(a), (b) and (c), for the word “multiplier” substitute “multipliers”.

Rules for the calculation of non-domestic rating contributions

4. In Schedule 1 –

(a) in paragraph 1(4), for “2004” substitute “2005”.

(b) in paragraph 4(4), for “2004 is £84,106,000” substitute “2005 is £83,606,000”; and

(c) for Part II substitute–
