The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 166(3) of, and paragraphs 1, 3(a) and 12 of Schedule 8 to, the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999( 1 ), makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Asylum Support (Amendment) Regulations 2007 and shall come into force on 9th April 2007.
Amendment of regulation 3(3) of the Asylum Support Regulations 2000
2. In regulation 3(3) of the Asylum Support Regulations 2000(“the 2000 Regulations”)( 2 ) delete “; and any form so issued shall be the form shown in the Schedule to these Regulations or a form to the like effect”.
Kind and levels of support for essential living needs
3. For the table at regulation 10(2) of the 2000 Regulations substitute:

| Lone parent aged 18 or over | £41.41 |
| Single person aged 25 or over | £41.41 |
| Single person aged at least 18 but under 25 | £32.80 |
| Person aged at least 16 but under 18 (except a member of a qualifying couple) | £35.65 |
| Person aged under 16 | £47.45 ” . |
Revocation of the Schedule to the 2000 Regulations
4. The Schedule to the 2000 Regulations is revoked.
Revocation of the Asylum Support (Amendment) Regulations 2006
5.The Asylum Support (Amendment) Regulations 2006( 3 ) are revoked.
