The Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 8 of Schedule 1 to the Housing Act 1988( 1 ).

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Assured and Protected Tenancies (Lettings to Students) (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2009 and come into force on 30th October 2009.

Amendment of the Assured and Protected Tenancies (Lettings to Students) Regulations 1998

2. Schedule 2 to the Assured and Protected Tenancies (Lettings to Students) Regulations 1998( 2 ) is amended in relation to England by the insertion at the appropriate places of “Beach General Partner Limited” and “Beach Nominee Limited”.
