The Health Professions Council has made the Health Professions Council (Registration and Fees) (Amendment) Rules 2009, as set out in the Schedule to this Order, in exercise of the powers conferred by articles 7(1) and (2), 9(2), 33(7) and 41(2) of the Health Professions Order 2001( 1 ), having consulted in accordance with articles 7(1) and (3) and 41(3) of that Order.

In accordance with articles 41(1) and 42 of that Order, such Rules shall not come into force until approved by order of the Privy Council.

Their Lordships, having considered the Rules, are pleased to and do approve them.

This Order may be cited as the Health Professions Council (Registration and Fees) (Amendment) Rules Order of Council 2009 and comes into force on 1st April 2009.

SCHEDULE The Health Professions Council (Registration and Fees) (Amendment) Rules 2009

The Health Professions Council makes the following Rules in exercise of the powers conferred by articles 7(1) and (2), 9(2), 33(7) and 41(2) of the Health Professions Order 2001, having consulted in accordance with articles 7(1) and (3) and 41(3) of that Order.

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Health Professions Council (Registration and Fees) (Amendment) Rules 2009 and come into force on 1st April 2009.

Amendment of the Health Professions Council (Registration and Fees) Rules 2003

2. β€”(1) The Health Professions Council (Registration and Fees) Rules 2003( 2 ) are amended as follows.

(2) In rule 14( 3 ) (registration fee)β€”

(a) in paragraph (1)(a), for β€œΒ£72” substitute β€œΒ£76”; and

(b) in paragraph (1)(b), for β€œΒ£144” substitute β€œΒ£152”.

(3) In rule 15( 4 ) (renewal fee), for β€œΒ£144” substitute β€œΒ£152”.

(4) In rule 15A( 5 ) (readmission fee), for β€œΒ£254” substitute β€œΒ£267”.

(5) In rule 16( 6 ) (restoration fee), for β€œΒ£254” substitute β€œΒ£267”.

(6) In rule 17( 7 ) (scrutiny fee)β€”

(a) in paragraph (1), for β€œΒ£50” substitute β€œΒ£53”; and

(b) in paragraph (2), for β€œΒ£400” substitute β€œΒ£420”.
