This Order is made by Her Majesty in Council in exercise of the power conferred by section 87(7) of the Northern Ireland Act 1998( 1 ).

Her Majesty considers it expedient to modify section 87(6) of that Act.

Accordingly Her Majesty, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Northern Ireland Act 1998 (Modification) Order 2009 and comes into force on 20th May 2009.

Modification of the Northern Ireland Act 1998

2. In section 87(6) of the Northern Ireland Act 1998 at the end addβ€”

β€œ (v) the Child Maintenance and Other Payments Act 2008 ( 2 ) , the Mesothelioma, etc. , Act (Northern Ireland) 2008 ( 3 ) , and the Child Maintenance Act (Northern Ireland) 2008 ( 4 ) ;

(w) the Pensions Act 2008 ( 5 ) and the Pensions ( No. 2) Act (Northern Ireland) 2008 ( 6 ) . ” .
